The series begins with Benny patrolling the streets with his partner. It's his last day patroling the streets before he goes into CID training (Have any of you guys ever wondered what CID stands for? I was always curious so I looked it up---it stands for Criminal Investigation Dept). Two American tourists ask him to help them take a picture and while Benny's taking the picture, he sees a guy behind them feeding the meter. The guy has a gun. Benny tells his partner and then follows the guy. His partner goes to check out the license plate info of the guy.

The guy with the gun walks into a motel room. Maggie and her partner, Ben, are in the motel room next door...they're also onto the guy. They are waiting for the other two suspects to arrive before they take action. Benny stands outside the door, waiting for his unit to arrive but his walkie-talkie goes off, so the 3 suspects come rushing out of the room and shoot at Benny. Maggie and Ben also rush out and there's alot of confusion. Wayne and the rest of the team rush upstairs and they too, help chase the suspects. Maggie and Wayne chased a guy thru this sauna place and Maggie finally caught him. Benny and Ben meanwhile, chased a suspect to the roof of the building. The guy held Benny captive but Ben refused to release his gun...he told the suspect that he could shoot faster and better than him. Benny, seeing that Ben was not going to drop his gun, hit the suspect and got loose. Even though Benny was okay, he was very annoyed that Ben wasn't concerned about his safety. Benny gave Ben an exasperated look downstairs. The two didn't get off to a great start.

At the cafetaria of the police station, Benny's team is celebrating his promotion to a PO CID (potential officer- I guess if he passes some exams he'll be promoted to Inspector). Benny's mom walks in.

At Benny's house, his mom is watching a tape of his dad cooking and she's trying to learn. His dad is a chef overseas. Benny was born in Hong Kong but raised in New York...therefore, his Chinese isn't that good--that's the whole reason why he's still a PO.

Wayne is a sergeant and Ben and Maggie are both under him. Their boss is apparently very unhappy with how Ben handles the cases. Although they catch the crook, most of the time, Ben somehow manages to make something big happen like an explosion. Ben is very competent but he's also the hotheaded cop that'll do anything to catch the bad guys. Because Ben is unhappy with his boss, he's thinking of quitting. Wayne on the other hand, isn't very competent, but he's really funny because he's really cheap. These 3 are good friends and they get along very well.

Wayne and Ben went over to Maggie's house for dinner. We find out that she has a son. Ben is her son's godfather. Ben's wife, Winnie, arrives.

Benny goes into CID training. He does a great job and the higher officials take note of this. He gets an award for best performance at training. Therefore, when it comes time for Wayne's boss to pick a new cop for his team, he picks Benny.

The team is assigned a case involving the mafia demanding money from bus drivers. One of the bus drivers agrees to cooperate and Benny stays on the bus to protect him while the mafia come onto the bus. However, Benny's mom and her friend board the bus and she tells her friend that her son's a cop and the whole operation gets screwed up. Benny gets a lecture by the boss. The other team members are very understanding. Ben says a few harsh words but he's just still angry from last time. The team continues trying to find evidence but it's harder now.

At home, Maggie looks at a watch and flashes back...Maggie had already started liking Ben since her son was a baby and before he was married. Ben was great and when her son was sick, he took them to the hospital when it was raining very hard. To thank him, she bought him a watch and invited him out to dinner. When they got to the restaurant, she told him she had a surpise for him and he told her the same thing...then, Winnie showed up and Ben told her his surprise was Winnie...she was his new girlfriend. Maggie was very disappointed and never even gave him the watch.

The team is assigned another case which involves the same mafia members...it's a construction case. New apartment complex buildings are finished being built and the mafia has decided that they can make a lot of money by forcing the owners to use their construction company. Therefore, they threaten owners and vandalize the building so all the owners are coerced into using their company. The gang leader in charge is someone by the name of "Bullet".

Maggie forgot to pick her son up from work...so Ben drove her. Her son isn't at school or at home so Maggie heads off to the market. Louisa sells fish at the market. She's Maggie's aunt. Maggie's dad took her son out and then Louisa got a call from her brother at the hospital telling her that Maggie's son was there with an asthma attack. They all rush to the hospital. We find out that Maggie doesn't get along with her dad. She used to hang out with a "fay jai" and he got her pregnant.

The team was able to capture part of the mafia crowd from the bus case after the bus drivers finally decided to cooperate with the police again.

Wayne bumped into a girl on the bus and she lost one of her contacts. He helped her find it. The boss's new secretary was due in for work that day and it turned out to be the girl Wayne bumped into. She treated him very nice, giving him the impression that she liked him. It turned out that she treated him as an "uncle"...heehee....the whole team was outside the office evesdropping on them when Wayne gave her flowers and they started cracking up...

Benny's mom wanted to buy an old car and she wanted him to accompany her. The girl selling the car was Denise. Benny thought she looked familiar...probably a classmate from elementary school. Denise got a call from her sister Celine, who told her not to sell the car yet. Celine took Denise to a car dealer who offered to pay them more but they were tricked. In the end, they got less money and ended up in the police station. Benny ran into them and mistakened Denise for Celine, his ex-classmate because Celine was very pretty when she was little. Benny called Celine that night and told him to look in her yearbook. (Benny likes Denise and thought that she was calling Denise but he was actually talking to Celine...because he mixed the sisters up).

At home, Denise and Celine were getting lectured by their dad. Denise was looking for a job and she wanted to be a social worker but her dad said that she should be a teacher instead. Therefore, she was forced to work at the same school as her sister.

The team was assigned a new case involving students shoplifting. When Benny went to question authorities at school, the principal said that his students wouldn't shoplift. Benny ran into Denise at the school.

Denise and Celine went shopping and Denise a student shoplifting. Denise chased the student into an alley where he met his friends and tried to eavesdrop on them. However, her phone went off and they spotted her. Luckily, a few cops showed up and saved her.

Benny's boss had a laptop for sale and Denise was looking for one. Benny told them about it and called Celine out thinking it was Denise. Downstairs from the school, Benny finally realized that he had the sisters mixed up. Celine meanwhile, was all happy because she thought that Benny liked her. Benny accidentally left his cell phone on when he was talking to Celine...and then ran into Denise...that's how he figured it out. He laughed it off and told told Denise he was confused because Celine used to be really pretty and said she looked like a 4-eyed frog now (because she wore glasses). Celine overheard on the phone and slapped him.

Maggie had tickets to a concert and asked her aunt Louisa to go with her but something came up and Wayne went instead. This part was soooo funny. Wayne made Louisa pay for dinner and then dug in the trash to try and find a receipt which would give him free parking. Then, there were only a few minutes left so he dragged Louisa to the parking garage and made her fall down. And when he finally got to the parking attendant, he was too late and had to pay...heehee...Louisa was sooo furious and Wayne was pissed to and they started calling each other names.

Louisa and her brother bought a house where Maggie's team was investigating the construction case. Maggie asked her dad and aunt to lend out the house so they could catch the gang...

Louisa's at the police station and she finds out that Wayne is in charge of the case. She refuses to lend out her new apartment unless Wayne apologizes to her. Maggie and the rest of the team pressure Wayne to apologize to Louisa. Maggie makes him buy flowers and takes him to the market to Louisa's fish stall. He's forced to treat her out to dinner and she invites her whole gang of market buddies and Wayne ends up paying $7888 for the dinner and he's furious...

The plan is put in place and Louisa is really scared when the guys come to collect money from her...she runs into one of the guys at a restaurant when she's delivering fish and they find out that her niece is a cop and figure that something is wrong. Therefore, they don't show up to collect the money the next day. Therefore, the operation falls through.

Benny is out shopping and runs into Denise at a computer store. They go out for a drink and she decides to buy his boss' laptop. Denise invites her boyfriend, Cheng Chi Sing, over to her house for dinner. Aparently, her dad likes him a lot. Celine tells them that Benny's trying to go after Denise. Denise invites Benny out to dinner to thank him for helping her fix something with her software...she decides to ask her boyfriend to go along. Benny is surprised and sad that Denise has a boyfriend already.

All of the apartments in the new building are vandalized. Louisa walks into her apartment and faints after she sees what the mafia did to it. She threatens to tell Wayne's boss if he doesn't hire someone to redecorate her apartment. Wayne reluctantly agrees but says he'll do the job himself. The team goes on duty 24 hrs a day in the building in order to prevent further actions by the mafia.

The gang led by "Bullet" has to give money to his upper boss but the cops are preventing him from getting money from the apartment owners. Therefore, "Bullet" decides to steal construction materials from nearby construction sites and by chance, they hired Ben's brother-in-law to drive the truck. Benny starts running after Ben's brother-in-law and gets injured so Ben continues the chase but doesn't catch him. Ben is put off the case because his brother-in-law is involved.

The team faked that they were finished with the case and left the building. "Bullet's" men came to collect the money and all were caught. The team went to arrest "Bullet" who was somewhere else at the time but he got away so Wayne and Benny continued to chase him. Wayne was captured and Benny was forced to put his gun down. Benny threw a box at "Bullet" at the last minute so that Wayne could get free. Benny almost gets shot but luckily, Ben rushes in and captures "Bullet". Benny is confused as to why Ben was at the scene if he was transferred off the case...found out that Wayne and Maggie had told him but decided to keep his mouth shut. The team is working very well together now.

Wayne begged his teammates to help him redecorate Louisa's house but they all told him to take a hike...only Benny decided to help him out. Wayne left the screws off the cabinet and when Louisa came to check up on him, the cabinet door in the kitchen fell right off and she got angry...she also complained that the tiles in the kitchen were the wrong color so they all went downstairs to buy new tiles.

While they were walking, a security guy was chasing a couple of high school kids who were stealing letters from the building he was looking after. Benny chased them but let them get away at a busy intersection. THe security guard recognized that the students' uniforms belonged to a local high school so Wayne and Benny went there. It turned out to be the school Denise taught at. The principal said that his students were all good and pretty much BS'ed his way out of trouble...later, Denise walked in and told the principal that she believed a few of her students were involved but he refused to listen. The principal seems to be hiding something. Denise is walking down the hall and sees some of her students with a bunch of letters. She tries to chase after them and they pushed her down the stairs...

Denise goes to the principal about the incident. However, the principal, wanting to protect the image of the school, lets the incident go. (Of the 3 students who were involved, one's name was "Sai Wing" and he's pretty much the focus of this case). "Sai Wing" brings some of his friends to his "big brother's" arcade's grand opening event...his "big bother" is "Turbo" (played by Michael Tse Tin Wah). Wayne's team is starting their investigation of Michael.

Ben has decided to quit his job as a cop because he's having problems with the boss. Instead, he and his wife have decided to open a little restaurant. However, Ben hasn't handed in his formal letter of resignation. Therefore, the boss asks Wayne to get Ben to turn in his letter.

Wayne has finally finished decorating Louisa's house and the group of them are putting the finishing touches to the house. As Ben's hangs up the curtains, Maggie recalls a time when she and Ben were undercover and Ben kissed her. Wayne and Louisa are at each other's throats again...he's watching her like a hawk, making sure she doesn't scratch up the house. While Maggie and Louisa were in the kitchen doing the dishes, Winnie overheard them talking about Maggie's crush on Ben...the situation gets very awkward.

Michael is "using" some of his young gang members (ones who are still in high school) to help him use fake credit cards. "Sai Wing" is caught. Wayne and Benny go to Denise's school to interview the principal but he withholds information from them. Denise tries to help them. Denise wants the principal to give "Sai Wing" another chance and not kick him out of school...he doesn't agree so Denise threatens to quit her job. When she gets home, her dad and boyfriend both disagree with the decision she made. Benny decided to speak with the principal and he decided to give "Sai Wing" another opportunity, provided he passes an exam.

Michael forces a girl to become a prostitute and she falls off the building while trying to escape. Ben drags some of the team to the arcade to question Michael.

Wayne was forced to go to Louisa's house to help her fix her faucet. While he was there, he decided to take a bubble bath... Louisa came home and went to the bathroom but she thought it was Maggie that was taking a bath...the whole situation was really really hilarious and finally Maggie calls Louisa so she realizes that it wasn't Maggie who was in the bathroom. While Wayne tried to sneak out of the bathtub, Louisa saw him and started screaming.

Michael's trying to sell cocaine..."Sai Wing" is helping him but in actuality, Michael is just using him to distract the cops. "Sai Wing" got arrested and Denise went to bail him out of jail. She's very disappointed in him. "Sai Wing" sells pirated VCDs and Denise sees him so she tries to get him to stop. "Sai Wing" gets fed up with Denise's nosiness so he breaks a fire alarm at school and the principal kicks him out of school.

Denise is having problems with Cheng Zhi Sing because he's always taking her dad's side.

Michael was out selling cocaine again but this time, the team was onto him and Michael and his 2 helpers were arrested. However, Michael was still let off the hook because the other 2 guys admitted to the crime. However, Ben played a joke on him and arrested him for 48 hrs and then another 48 hrs right after he was released so this pissed Michael off.

Cheng Zhi Sing owns a private tutoring place. Denise's rather disappointed in the way he treats some of the staff. He also makes her wait for him while he's still teaching a class. Denise decides to go downstairs for a walk and runs into Benny so they have a talk. Cheng sees Benny drive her back and he gets upset.

Michael decided to seek revenge on Ben by wrecking his restaurant up (his restaurant was still under construction). However, Winnie left her keys there and went back for them and ran into the guys. They knocked her out...Unknowingly, one of the guys threw out a cigarette which caused a fire and Winnie was killed. Ben was really sad. A trash lady saw the 3 guys and recognized them. When Ben found out who it was, he went to find Michael and the guy and beat him up. Ben hit Maggie by accident. Ben decided not to open the restaurant up.

Michael had to pay off his "helper" to admit to wrecking Ben's place. He had to borrow money from a "Wai Gor" (this is the next villian the team goes after).

Denise went to find Benny and they went to the beach. He taught her how to skip stones. Cheng was waiting for Denise and he's starting to believe there's something up with the two of them.

"Wai Gor" puts a gun to Michael telling him to pay up...Michael has no money so he decides to kidnap one of "Sai Wing's" ex-classmates. He asked for a million in ransom and in the chaos, the guy they kidnapped got hit in the head. Wayne's team is put on the case and Denise remembers seeing "Sai Wing" with the boy who was kidnapped. She recalls hearing where they were going but can't exactly remember the place. However, she recalls passing by there with Benny last time so Benny takes her around, hoping to find the place. Benny and Denise find the place and everything is under control until Michael returns suddenly and holds Denise captive.

Benny and Denise were tied up in a room where the boy was being held. Benny used a bottle cap to cut open the ropes but was caught by "Sai WIng". Just as "Sai Wing" was contemplating whether or not to release them, Michael returns from picking up another $5 million in ransom and a fight ensues. "Sai WIng" helps Benny and Denise and Michael is caught. Soon the other cops arrive.

Wayne and Maggie went to visit Ben. He's still rather depressed. The team tried to help him get his job back and the boss finally agrees so Ben goes back to work.

Denise decided not to renew her contract with the school and instead, found a job as a social worker. Her dad and boyfriend both did not want her to take on this new job but Benny encouraged her to stick with what she believed in.

Denise's dad is the president of the fish federation (This is my best attempt at translating it) and they hired "Wai Gor" as the security for the federation. However, "Wai GOr" has been getting worse and getting greedier.

Cheng went to find Benny. He asked him not to negatively influence Denise anymore. Benny told Cheng that he didn't understand his girlfriend.

Benny and Denise went to a bar. She wanted to try new things. WHen they came out, it was raining so they squeezed into a phone booth together. They made "eye contact"...

Wayne's team decided to go undercover in the marketplace to try and capture "Wai Gor". Wayne and another team member set up a fish market right across from Louisa's. At first, his stand was losing money because he was a new face. Later, he thought of a brilliant "packaged fish" idea and stole all the customers from Gigi.

Denise's dad wants to get rid of "Wai Gor" so Cheng Zhi SIng introduced him to another gang leader named "Dai Pang". "Dai Pang" helped get rid of "Wai Gor" and Denise's dad hired his group as the new security people, not knowing how evil he really was.

Cheng told Denise's dad that he wanted to marry Denise. When she came home and realized that he asked her dad without even asking her, she said no immediatly. Their relationship was getting more and more strained. She finally broke up with him.

"Wai Gor" was desperate to get his money back from people in the market so Wayne's team made a successful arrest.

Maggie saw that Ben still wan't very happy so they had a talk. Ben told her that he thought of committing suicide. The two had an argument and Maggie slapped him. He was on the verge of slapping her back when he finally realized what he was doing (ie his whole personality had changed since his wife's death). The next morning, Ben decided to start everything anew.

Denise told Benny that she broke up with Cheng because of differences in personality. He told her about her dad's situation at work.

Benny's parents were having problems...his dad had an affair while he was in the US and got blackmailed $100,000 US dollars. His mom found out and she threw a fit.

Denise started her new job as a social worker and she was praised by her boss. She invited Benny out to dinner and they went to a to a Sanrio auction and bought a lot of Hello Kitty and Ding Dong accessories. THey ran into Cheng at the restuarant and he thought that Denise broke up with him because of Benny. Benny asked Denise for a chance but she told him to stop joking.

Louisa now has a crush on Wayne. She started liking him after she saw how "manly" he was when he beat up "Wai Gor" during the arrest.

"Dai Pan's" men are causing more and more problems at the fish federation. Denise's dad is helpless to do anything.

Ben's birthday is coming up so Maggie wants to have a celebration for him at the karaoke. The secretary at the police station, "Happy" (played by Joyce Chan), thinks that Maggie likes Ben so rumors start spreading at the station. Maggie places a photograph of her and Ben in her wallet and Ben sees this when she accidentally drops her wallet. He now believes that she likes him. He tries to introduce her to a guy but Maggie doesnt show up. Ben goes to Maggie's house and gives her the $100,000 back. He tells her that he always thought of her as a "brother". Maggie tells him to leave and starts crying. Now, Maggie begins avoiding Ben at work.

More problems arise at the fish federation. Maggie's dad gets beaten up by "Dai Pan's" men so Maggie goes to arrest them. She beats them up in the process.

Denise and Benny run into her family while they were having dim sum. Denise's dad expressed his extreme dislike of Benny. Denise and Benny went to the beach that night to see the eclipse but ended up not seeing anything because of the clouds. Benny put up fireworks in the trees to make Denise happier and they started dating after this.

Louisa asked Wayne out to dinner. She found a cockroach in her soup so they complained bitterly and got a bowl of shark's fin soup. While they were walking home, Wayne saw huge rats and jumped on Louisa because he was really scared of rats.

Wayne went out for beer with his teammates. They were wondering why Louisa didn't hit Wayne when he jumped on her. They made the assumption that Louisa liked Wayne. To test this assumption, Wayne called Louisa and told her that he got an upset stomach from dinner and she told him that she'd "fly a taxi" to his place. Seeing this, the guys rushed Wayne home and he ran all the way up the 8 flights of stairs through the back so that Louisa wouldn't see him. He tripped and fell on his chin on the way up and when Louisa got there, Wayne was totally out of breathe and panting. Louisa thought that he looked really sick...she cooked him congee and cleaned his house. Wayne was sooo happy that he had something to brag about to the guys.

Maggie sent a form in to request to be transferred to a different dept. The team tried to ask her to stay but she told him she needed to spend more time with her son. Benny treated Maggie out to beer and asked her if she was leaving because of Ben...

Maggie's son got 100% on an exam and called Ben. He promised to take him to the park and asked Maggie to go too...she was reluctant but Benny urged her to go. Maggie, her son, and Ben went to the park and went out to dinner. Her son noticed that there was something wrong with them.

Benny and Maggie followed "Dai Pan" to the premiere of a new movie. The owner of the movie company was "Chan Ho Tung" (played by Marco Ngai). When Maggie saw Marco, she immediately turned around to leave and Benny called out her name as he chased after her. Marco saw her and followed her. He tried to ask her out to a midnight snack but Maggie showed him ID and told him that cops didn't mix with members of the mafia.

The next day, Maggie got a bunch of flowers and a movie ticket to see Marco's movie production. The flowers caused a commotion at the station and one of the team members read the card and realized that it was Marco who sent them.

"Dai Pan" forced the fishermen to give the fish to him instead of the fish federation. Denise's dad called the cops and they tried to set up another trap but the plan fell through. However, the cops kicked "Dai Pan's" men out of the federation.

Maggie received more flowers from Marco. This time, it was followed up by a phone call from Marco who asked her out to dinner. Maggie was forced to go. During dinner, Marco asked Maggie about their son...Maggie responded that she had an abortion and never had the kid. She got up and left but she unknowingly dropped her sticker pictures of her and her son. Marco saw the pictures.

Maggie walks around at the pier. She has flashbacks of her past when she was still dating Marco. She recalls catching him in bed with another woman...When she got home, Ben was there. He informed Maggie that her son was sick and the babysitter called him because the babysitter wasn't able to reach her. Ben tried to warn Maggie to stay away from Marco because he was the head of the mafia in Tsim Tung. Maggie mistook his concern and told him that she knew how to handle her own problems. (Ben seemed more concerned about Maggie now...he's realizing that he does have feelings for her)

Denise's dad wasn't re-elected as president of the fish federation because he got beaten up by "Dai Pan's" men the day of the elections and the other candidate won by default.

Louisa thinks that she's Wayne's girlfriend and Wayne is intentionally misleading her. He tried to end their relationship by pretending he had some sort of disease. However, instead of dumping him, she hurts her foot trying to find a doctor for him. Wayne was very touched.

More and more fishermen were having problems with "Dai Pan". The cops went to ask Denise's dad for help...they needed a leader to bring the fishermen together against "Dai Pan". Therefore, they held a protest and "Dai Pan" tried to beat them up. Wayne's team successfully arrested "Dai Pan" and his men.

Wayne is telling people at the station that he's not dating Gigi cuts her down saying she's old, etc. When Gigi finds out, she yells at him and then ignores him.

Marco went to see Maggie's son outside his school. Maggie got there and left with her son. Marco told his assistants to find out more info about Maggie's son.

"Lat Gai" ('Dai Lik' from Kindred Spirit) is one of Marco's top men. Under Marco's instruction, he's opening up a restaurant in a territory that Marco doesn't look after.

Maggie gets a call saying that her son is missing. Ben helps her look for him. Marco said that he was the kid's father. He told Maggie that if he found out "something was his, he would use all means to get that 'thing' back".

Maggie decided to leave her son at her dad's place. She tells Ben that Marco is her son's father.

Marco tells his top gang member "Lat Gai" that he no longer has feelings for Maggie. However, he has unspeakable feelings for his son and wants him back.

Louisa's still mad at Wayne. Therefore, she accepts another guy's proposal just to spite him.

"Lat Gai" is causing problems between two different gangs. He called the cops and had them all arrested.

Maggie saw Marco's men following her and Ben so she pretends to be his girlfriend and holds his hand. Maggie and Ben go to pick her son up from school...Marco was outside waiting also. He gets upset when he sees Maggie, his son, and Ben acting like a family.

Marco finally finds out from a doctor that his DNA matches Maggie's son's. Therefore, he is indeed the kid's biological father.

Louisa went to the police station to tell Maggie that her son was missing. She couldn't find him outside his school. It turns out that Marco took his son to an arcade/game place. He wanted his son to call him "daddy". When Marco took his son back to Maggie, he told her that he would take his son back in court.

Someone tried to kill Marco's top helper "Lat Gai" but Ben's brother-in-law saved him. Therefore, "Lat Gai" decided to give him a chance to work as the parking attendant at the restaurant.

Benny and Denise's relationship was getting a bit strained as Benny put more time into his job. They had less time to see each other and in one incident, Benny told Denise to wait for him but spent the whole night helping out a co-worker with her love problems. Denise got accepted to take a one year course in England and was contemplating on whether or not to go.

Louisa had previously promised another guy that she'd marry him so she had to go and register for a day to get married (even though she didn't want to). Well, Wayne realized that he did love Louisa so he tried to stop her from going. He chased her down the street and cut took a short-cut to try and catch up with her...he almost got run over by her taxi (he ended up underneath of the taxi) so Louisa jumped out of the taxi. They made up so now she had to find an excuse to tell the other guy that she couldn't marry him.

Maggie received a letter from Marco's lawyer telling her that he wanted custody of their son.

Ben finds out that his brother-in-law is working for "Lat Gai" so he tries to force "Lat Gai" to not hire him anymore by checking his restaurant everyday for illegal activities. Marco wants to keep his bother-in-law there so that he can "use" him in the future.

Benny and Denise are having more problems. He has to pass a Chinese exam or else he won't be promoted. Therefore, he needs to spend more time studying. Denise asks him whether or not she should take the class in England and Benny answers yes. This angers Denise because he wanted him to ask her to stay.

Maggie told her son to say that he didn't want to live with his dad...but he refused to do that. He wanted to live with both parents. This angered Maggie so she yelled at him and he ran out of the room and injured himself. Marco paid off Maggie's babysitter before the trial so she lied in court and said that Maggie treated her son poorly. Maggie was in a very weak position after the second day in court. Ben tried to cheer her up. His friend from Taiwan sent him information about Marco's personal information...Apparently, Marco had served a jail sentence in Taiwan a few years ago. Therefore, Ben and Maggie went to find Marco the next day. They told him that if he didn't want this news to go public, then he should discontinue his fight for his son. Marco decided to give up fighting for custody because if this news went public, his (legal) businesses would be greatly affected.

Celine (Denise's sister in the series) ran into Benny on the street so she decided to tell him that Denise had been very unhappy because of him. After this, Benny spent more time with Denise and she was happier.

Ben's brother-in-law was put in charge of one of Marco's karaoke places. In addition, Marco was moving into the gambling industry...he was setting up an illegal pool to gamble on horses (not too sure about this whole horse-racing deal. all i know is that they were doing something illegal).

Maggie and Ben started dating. When Marco continued sending his men to give little presents to his son, Maggie threatened to get a court order disallowing him to see his son.

Louisa had a hard time telling the guy she was supposed to marry that she couldn't marry him. However, before she could speak, he told her that he didn't want to marry her because he found a new girlfriend...this pissed Louisa off because she wanted to be the one to dump him. Wayne and Louisa are contemplating marriage and Louisa wants Wayne (who's really really cheap) to buy her a diamond ring. Well, he goes and gets her a fake ring and when she finds out, she gets very angry and ignores him.

Wayne's team had a function to arrest Marco and "Lat Gai" for their illegal horse-dealings. However, Benny noticed that the information was deleted form the computer just as they got there.

Denise finds out that Benny was treating her better because Celine (her sister) had a talk with him. Denise confronts Benny and again asks him if he wants her to stay. He tells her that he doesn't want to make her decisions for her because he doesn't know what the future holds so he doesn't want to affect her education in any way. At the same time, Benny is more concerned about his career now. Therefore, the two break up (sort of).

Marco is really pissed that Maggie won't let him see his son. He orders his men to bring his son to him. It was Maggie's dad's birthday so she was out having dinner with him, her aunt (Louisa) and her son. Ben wasn't there yet. Maggie's dad took her son to the bathroom and he was kidnapped. Maggie chased after the two men and they jumped into a car outside (which Ben's brother-in-law was driving). Ben arrived then so Maggie jumped into his car and started chasing the car in front. During the chase, the car Maggie's son was in, went up the curb and hit the cliff (??)...Maggie's son was thrown out of the car and heavily injured. Ben arrested his brother-in-law and took Maggie's son to the hospital. The doctors said that her son only had a 20% chance of surviving.

Maggie was really angry so she hit Ben's brother-in-law but Ben and her teammates tried to calm her down. Ben's brother-in-law was out on bail. Ben tried to persuade him to turn Marco in. However, after being beaten up and threatened by Marco, he decided not to turn Marco in.

Marco went to the hospital to visit his son and Maggie saw him. The two got into an argument and he pushed her dad down. Maggie took out her gun and started firing at him because she was so angry. She got in trouble for this and had to temporarily turn in her badge and gun.

Benny couldn't decide whether or not to call Denise and ask her to stay. The next day, the team had another function so Benny was late to the airport. His call to her finally got through but it was too late and Denise's plane was about to take off. She thought that he didn't want her to stay when in reality, he did.

The team finally set up a trap fro Marco and arrested him. One of the disks that they found had evidence of his illegal activities.

Maggie's son needs a blood transfusion and only Marco has the right blood type. While he's in the hospital, his helper "Lat Gai" manages to help him escape despite the fact that many cops were there. In addition, they took a patient hostage. Maggie heard the commotion from her son's room and rushed out to see. From the window, she saw Marco escaping so she jumped onto his van but fell off and fainted. Marco grabbed her too.

The team finds a body which they think is Maggie...turns out that it isn't. Marco only wants to scare them. He calls Ben and tells him that he wants his disk back if they want Maggie to be safe. Ben wanted to borrow the disk but Wayne said it was too dangerous so Ben went and stole it. (It was actually all planned...) Ben arrived at the destination and Marco arrived with Maggie. Marco shot Ben but what he didn't know was the he had his bullet-proof vest on. The cops were successful in capturing Marco and his men.

Everyone is really happy. Benny passed the exam and has a chance at promotion to inspector. Maggie can get back on the job and her son is on the road to recovery. Maggie went to jail to thank Marco...he asked her to take good care of their son and to not let him choose the path that he chose.

Maggie's dad wanted her to get married soon so he showed Ben all these pictures of guys that he wanted to introduce his daughter to =) Ben proposed to Maggie at a bar and she said yes...In addition to this couple, another couple at the station was getting married also. Their co-workers "Chao Mang" (Timmy Hung) and "Happy" (Joyce Chan) have also decided to get married. Wayne is worried that Ben will kick him out of the house once he marries Maggie. It's sooo funny...because now Wayne has no place to stay so he too decides to ask Louisa to forgive him and marry him (because she has a house). However, he's really cheap and tries to find a cheap restaurant for the feast...finally they decide that all 3 couples will hold the banquet at a hotel at the same time in the same room (because it's cheaper!). Ben is also happy because he too has a chance at being promoted. The boss is recommending that he be promoted to sergeant.

When Maggie, Ben, Louisa and Wayne went to try on their wedding gowns, another funny thing happened. Wayne was really cheap so he borrowed a tux that was way too short on him...he tried to hide behind Louisa's wedding dress while they were taking pictures =)

Benny went to England to find Denise but she was away in Scotland and he just missed her as she came back. He left her a message at the dorm desk.

The day of the wedding finally approached...Wayne offered to pay $99.99 as the money for the girls to open the door but they refused and finally the 3 guys ended up paying 9999.99. Benny found out that Denise came back for the wedding and was really happy. The two made up

When they finally got to the church, there was a couple in there that was really slow...the couple was Esther and Bobby...Then, Esther and Bobby took a long time taking pictures and slowed the others down...the last scene shows all the couples in a big group picture.
